Eric Carle’s Dream Snow

The children are looking forward to sharing their Christmas show with you on Friday, December 15, 5pm at the Quaker Church location. Practice has been great– lots of spirit and enthusiasm.

This week’s letter is J. We’ll count and sort with jelly beans, make music with jingle bells and with strawberries and sugar make jam.

We’ll have a lesson on positional words ( above, below, behind, next to, over, under, on, off etc.)
using holiday decorations and treats.

A science lesson (Sink or Float???) challenges observation and predicting skills.

We’ll read Eric Carle’s Dream Snow (and create our own Trees!)

At circle time we’ll ¬†review letters A-I and numbers 1-12 with a Christmas wreath math activity, presents under the tree letter and number game and snowflake counting and sorting.

We’ll review patterning with colorful Christmas lights.

We’ll make candy canes, holly wreaths and Christmas trees.
