Prek 3 ( Adele Leeds / Michele Zinicola )
This week’s letter is C. We’ll use carrots, cucumbers and celery to make edible flowers that we’ll enjoy at snack time! We’ll make crabs and clouds ( simple science lesson on the water cycle ) and colorful clowns ( shapes and colors review).
To review numbers 1-6 we’ll make a colorful carrot patch ( matching carrot tops and bottoms ).
We’ll read The Very Hungry Caterpillar ( Eric Carle ) and make “name caterpillars,” Goodnight Construction Site ( Sherri Duskey Rinker ), Clifford The Big Red Dog, Curious George Goes to the Library, Corduroy ( Don Freeman ) and The Cat in the Hat ( Dr. Seuss ).

We’ll learn this poem:

October
October’s the month
When the smallest breeze
Gives us a shower
Of autumn leaves.
Bonfires and pumpkins,
Leaves falling down
October is red
And golden and brown!

The children are enthusiastic learners and happy at circle, project and play times!
