Prek 2 ( Adele Leeds / Michele Zinicola)

We are practicing for our show in June. The children are doing a great job! We’re learning numbers 1-10 and colors red, blue, green, orange, purple, yellow, black and white in Spanish.
We planted carrot seeds and are eagerly watching the pot ( placed in a sunny window ) to see signs of growth!
We’ll make ladybugs and dragonflys and learn all about insects!
We’ll review positional words with a springtime picture placement activity.
We’ll learn and illustrate this poem

May
May is the month
of sunshine and flowers
Birds in their nests
and one or two showers!
Games to play
and kites to fly
Or just looking at the sky!
We could spend a year this way
if the year were made of May!!

We’ll read I Love Bugs! (Philemon Sturges), Bugs, Bugs, Bugs! ( Bob Barker ), Bugs Are Insects (Anne Rockwell) and Living Things ( Melvin and Gilda Berger ).
